Near-ideal weather and high demand. November is AlUla’s wettest month, but that still means only a few short showers.

Cooler months are balloon season: AlUla hot-air balloon via Klook (check operating dates).
What’s on in AlUla in November 2026
- AlUla Skies Festival, 6–15 November 2026: sunrise balloon flights, stargazing and night shows.
- Ancient Kingdoms Festival opens 26 November 2026 (until 12 December).
- The Old Town to Oasis twilight heritage walk runs 6 November to 12 December 2026 (from SAR 90 (≈ $24)).
Dates can change: confirm on the official Experience AlUla calendar before you book. Plan your light around a 06:45 sunrise and 17:40 sunset: the first and last two hours are the best for Hegra, Elephant Rock and photography.
What to pack for AlUla in November
Light layers, a light jacket for the evening, a hat and sunscreen. Cover shoulders and knees at heritage sites (see our dress code guide) and wear closed shoes for rocky ground.
A 3-day AlUla itinerary built for November
Day 1 - Ancient Kingdoms orientation
Begin with Dadan and Jabal Ikmah or an announced festival programme, then continue to Old Town.
Day 2 - Hegra and night sky
Use a morning Hegra slot. During AlUla Skies, choose one balloon or stargazing booking rather than both in the same day.
Day 3 - Oasis twilight walk
Leave daylight for Maraya and finish on the seasonal Old Town-to-Oasis walk, if operating.
