Excellent weather. Ramadan is expected from about 8 February 2027, so some hours change. Founding Day (22 February) is a busy long weekend.

Dates can change: confirm on the official Experience AlUla calendar before you book. Plan your light around a 07:05 sunrise and 18:20 sunset: the first and last two hours are the best for Hegra, Elephant Rock and photography.
What to pack for AlUla in February
Layers: a warm fleece or down jacket for early mornings, balloon flights and stargazing, plus light layers for the afternoon. Cover shoulders and knees at heritage sites (see our dress code guide) and wear closed shoes for rocky ground.
A 3-day AlUla itinerary built for February
Day 1 - archaeology before Ramadan hours shift
Take Dadan and Jabal Ikmah in the morning and Old Town in late afternoon. During Ramadan, reconfirm every opening time.
Day 2 - Hegra, then a quiet afternoon
Use the coolest available Hegra slot and keep the afternoon flexible before an evening in AlJadidah.
Day 3 - Founding Day or Ashar Valley
On the Founding Day weekend, allow for domestic crowds; otherwise pair Maraya with Elephant Rock at sunset.
