What to expect in March 2027
Ramadan ends around 8 March and the Eid al-Fitr holiday (from around 9 March) is busy. Warm days, mild nights: one of the best months.

- No AlUla Moments festival has been announced for March 2027 yet.
Dates can change: confirm on the official Experience AlUla calendar before you book. Plan your light around a 06:40 sunrise and 18:35 sunset: the first and last two hours are the best for Hegra, Elephant Rock and photography.
What to pack for AlUla in March
Light layers, a light jacket for the evening, a hat and sunscreen. Cover shoulders and knees at heritage sites (see our dress code guide) and wear closed shoes for rocky ground.
A 3-day AlUla itinerary built for March
Day 1 - Eid-aware arrival
During Eid, start with untimed Oasis and Old Town walks and expect busier restaurants. Later in March, use the full afternoon.
Day 2 - Hegra early
Take an early tour before temperatures rise, followed by a long lunch and Elephant Rock near sunset.
Day 3 - Dadan, Jabal Ikmah and AlJadidah
Put the second timed heritage tour in the morning and finish with galleries, cafés and dinner.
