Nights: real warm layers
A fleece or light down jacket, a jumper, long trousers and closed shoes. Desert nights after stargazing or outdoor dinners at Maraya feel properly cold; a scarf earns its space.
Footwear: one pair that handles sand
Trainers or walking shoes for Hegra and Dadan (sand, uneven ground), something smarter for resort dinners. Heels are a liability on archaeological sites.
Resorts and events: smart-casual plus
Canyon resorts and Winter at Tantora events dress up in the evenings — think smart layers rather than formal wear. Swimwear is fine at resort pools.
